It will be Red Hat Society Week in Yorkton May 1 to 6.
The request for the designation was made in a presentation to the regular meeting of Yorkton Council Monday.
The Yorkton Chapter of the Red Hat Society will be hosting the 13th Annual Saskatchewan Red Hat Society Convention on May 5 and 6 at the Gallagher Centre.
The theme this year is 鈥淐elebrate Our Colours鈥� and the goal is to treat approximately 300 ladies to 鈥淵orkton Style鈥� hospitality.
As part of the designation the Red Hat Society Flag will be raised at City Hall on Tuesday, May 2, at 10 a.m..
