PREECEVILLE — The Crossroads Credit Union, Preeceville branch, presented Preeceville School elementary students from Kindergarten to Grade 6 with special student-of-the-month awards on June 23.
"[Reyan Javelona, Kindergarten] offers to help classmates with both academic and non-academic tasks. Especially students who may be struggling, he will always offer a helping hand. Reyan shows up every day ready to work with a smile on his face. He is kind, thoughtful, and respectful to all students and staff members,” stated a release from the school.
"[Julie Ziola, Grade 1] is a kind, curious, and hardworking Grade 1 student. She always comes to school with a big smile and is ready to learn. Julie loves reading stories, solving math problems, and asking great questions in class. She is a good friend to everyone and always helps her classmates.
“She listens well, follows directions, and always tries her best. I am proud to have her in my classroom!”
"[Rayna Blotski, Grade 2] is always considerate to all her classmates and teachers. She is kind, thoughtful, respectful, and cooperative with anything she is asked to do. She is always ready for the day and excited to learn new things. She includes all classmates and treats them as friends, and goes above and beyond to include everyone at recess and encourages them when it is time to learn.”
"[Riley Durand, Grade 3] always has a smile on his face! He is a good friend and treats his classmates with respect. He is a hard worker, comes to class ready to learn, and is willing to help those around — both his classmates as well as the adults in the class.”
"[Charis Maier, Grade 4] is kind and helpful to her classmates. She can be counted on by the adults in the classroom, whatever they ask of her! She has a good work ethic. She is involved in the Nordic ski club and various sports groups in the school. Whatever she does, she does it with a smile on her face!”
"[Chet Covlin, Grade 5] is friendly, kind, thoughtful, and respectful. He has worked hard this year on his academics and it has really paid off. He has made many friends because of his kindness to all. He is willing to help out in the classroom when needed, whether it be tidying up or handing something out. He is respectful to his classmates and all staff members. Chet has joined football this spring and seems to be enjoying that. He enjoys being at school every day.”
"[Becca Spray, Grade 6] has consistently demonstrated helpfulness and friendliness towards her teachers and peers, creating a positive atmosphere in the classroom and throughout the school. Her involvement in the community through 4-H and basketball showcases her passion and commitment to teamwork, making her a valued member of any group,” concluded the release.
