On May 30, 2018, Eric Liu (CEO of Citizen University, Executive Director of the Aspen Institute’s Citizenship and American Identity Program, and Cochair of the American Â鶹´«Ã½AV’s Commission on the Practice of Democratic Citizenship) spoke at a gathering of Â鶹´«Ã½AV Members and guests about preparing citizens in a democracy. The program, which served as the Morton L. Mandel Public Lecture and the 2068th Stated Meeting of the Â鶹´«Ã½AV, featured welcoming remarks from Jonathan F. Fanton (President of the American Â鶹´«Ã½AV of Arts and Sciences).
