Shelly Palmer - An AI statement of principles

Every organization needs a Corporate AI Governance Manifesto.

Every organization needs a clear North Star that guides decision-making and promotes consistency.

Greetings from NYC. I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

Yesterday’s essay focused on corporate AI governance. It may not be the flashiest topic in the AI conversation, but it is arguably the most essential. As organizations deploy dozens (or even hundreds) of AI initiatives across teams, tactical excellence is not enough. Each group tends to optimize for its own KPIs – such as customer experience, operational efficiency, or product innovation – but what is often missing is alignment.

That is why every organization needs a Corporate AI Governance Manifesto. Not a rigid rulebook, just a strategic framework. A clear North Star that guides decision-making and promotes consistency across the enterprise. .

As always your thoughts and comments are both welcome and encouraged.
