Canada's Morales Williams wins men's 400 metres at NCAA track and field championships

EUGENE — Christopher Morales Williams continued his winning ways at the NCAA track and field championships. The 19-year-old from Vaughan, Ont., won the men's 400-metre race on Friday in 44.47 seconds.

EUGENE — Christopher Morales Williams continued his winning ways at the NCAA track and field championships.

The 19-year-old from Vaughan, Ont., won the men's 400-metre race on Friday in 44.47 seconds.

Morales Williams, a sophomore running for Georgia, beat Alabama's Samuel Ogazi and Florida's JeVaughn Powell.

Morales Williams already owns the Canadian record in the 400 metres.

He won the 400 at the Â鶹´«Ã½AVeastern Conference outdoor championships in 44.05 seconds on May 11.
