LLOYDMINSTER – A significant police operation in Lloydminster on Wednesday afternoon resulted in the arrest of several individuals, including high-ranking street gang member Jesse Dillon, marking the latest arrest for the 33-year-old.

The Lloydminster RCMP, supported by the Alberta RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Police Dog Services (PDS), executed high-risk warrants in the 45 Avenue area on the Saskatchewan side of the border city. The operation led to road closures and a heavy police presence as officers worked to ensure public safety.

Among those taken into custody was  Dillon, who faces new charges of obstructing a police officer and failing to comply with a release order. Also arrested were Ryan Peace, 51, of Martensville, charged with flight from police, and Kyle Soosay, 35, of Kehewin First Nation, Alta., charged with failure to comply with a release order.

A fourth individual was released without charges, while a fifth suspect was arrested for public mischief and obstruction, though charges have not yet been formally laid.

Dillon was remanded into custody, while Peace and Soosay were released with conditions. Their court dates are set for June 10, June 19, and August 10, respectively.

Dillon’s other charges

Earlier this year, Dillon was charged in connection with a February 2025 armed robbery in Lloydminster, where police seized methamphetamine, fentanyl, and cocaine from a suspect vehicle.

In May 2024 prompting RCMP to issue a public warning that he was at large and dangerous. He was recaptured days later by the Meadow Lake RCMP Crime Reduction Team.

Just last June, Dillon saw robbery and firearms charges stayed in Lloydminster Sask. Provincial Court. When the Crown stays charges, they can be brought back to life within a year, but this rarely happens. The Crown usually stays charges if they don’t believe there is a possibility of a conviction, sometimes because witnesses won’t cooperate.

Court testimony in Saskatoon revealed Dillon controlled a drug trafficking operation while incarcerated in Prince Albert. With the help of his then-girlfriend, he directed drug deals, collected debts, and made threats, all through hundreds of jailhouse phone calls using other inmates’ phone time.

The Lloydminster RCMP’s General Investigation Section, along with specialized units, continues to probe the latest incidents. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
