In mid-May, Meadow Lake RCMP began an investigation into a vehicle-ramming incident.
WATERHEN LAKE FIRST NATION - A man has been arrested for charges of assault and breach of a conditional sentence order.
In mid-May, Meadow Lake RCMP began an investigation into a vehicle-ramming incident. The investigation determined a vehicle rammed another vehicle with three occupants inside. The occupants were not seriously injured.
Officers identified the driver of the vehicle and, on May 30, attended a residence on Waterhen Lake First Nation to arrest him.
As they approached the residence, the male fled out the back door but was arrested a short time later. He threatened an officer during the arrest.
Saskatchewan RCMP’s Police Dog Services assisted with this investigation.
As a result of continued investigation, a 43-year-old man, from Waterhen Lake First Nation, is charged with:
- three counts, assault with weapon;
- one count, mischief over $5,000;
- one count, operate a conveyance in a manner dangerous to the public;
- one count, intimidation;
- one count, operate a conveyance while prohibited;
- one count, resist peace officer; and
- one count, uttering threats.
He was also arrested for breaching a conditional sentence order.
The suspect is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake provincial court on June 2.
