Illegal dumping of snow geese investigated

Conservation officers determined 86 breasts were left to waste sometime between May 10 and 12.

WADENA — On May 13, Wadena conservation officers received information that a pile of snow goose breasts were unlawfully dumped and wasted.

Upon investigation, officers determined that there were 86 breasts left to waste. Based on the stage of decomposition, officers believe the goose breasts were dumped between May 10 and 12.

The location of the wasted meat is approximately 10 kilometres northwest of Quill Lake.

Officers collected some evidence on scene but require assistance in solving this case.
