The junior basketball season came to an end on the weekend, as district playoffs were held for the girls at John Paul II and for the boys in Luseland.

The John Paul II boys won their first game 70-24 over Macklin to advance to the gold medal game.

In the final against Unity, the Crusaders turned in a great effort, but without two starters from the season not playing on the weekend, they came up just short against Unity and settled for silver.

In the bronze medal game, John Paul II and Luseland were tied at halftime, but the Crusaders turned up the pressure in the third and fourth quarters to win the game 49-31 and earned the bronze medal.
