The Sharks had full dedication from their players and a positive attitude, which helped gain the respect of the other teams in the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League.

March 1, the Sharks handed out the year end awards. The team's most valuable player award was split between Taylor Durocher and Jacy Akre.

Durocher had three goals and four assists for the Sharks in her final season, as an assistant captain.

Akre faced a league-high 968 shots and played 1,479 minutes while recording the Sharks' three wins this season. Akre was also named to the SFMAAAHL's second all-star team.

The Sharks' most valuable offensive player was rookie forward Jetta Derenoski. She played all 28 games and led the team with four goals and five assists during the regular season.

The most valuable defensive player was Keinyn Nordell. Nordell, like Derenoski was an affiliated player last season and a rookie this year. Nordell didn't look out of place and was an important part of the Sharks' strong defence core this season.

The most improved award was shared by Laura Harper and Brooke Lonoway. Both players were rookies this season, as Harper finished the year with five points and Lonoway had three.

The rookie of the year went to team captain Emily Wilson. Wilson was one of 11 rookies on the team this season. She finished with a goal and one assist in 27 games.

The leadership award went to one of the four Sharks players graduating from the team this season. Rachel Trach ends a four-year career with the Sharks with the team leadership award. Trach had two goals and two assists this season as an assistant captain with the Sharks.
