Six straight losses for Bantam AA Barons

The Battlefords Bantam AA Barons have now lost six straight games in the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League. The Barons travelled to Sasktoon Dec. 7 to take on the Stallions.

The Battlefords Bantam AA Barons have now lost six straight games in the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League.

The Barons travelled to Sasktoon Dec. 7 to take on the Stallions. Justin Theissen led the Stallions to a 7-3 win with a goal and two assists. Battlefords got goals in the game from Austin Bill, Justin Hebert, and Blake Oborowsky.

Battlefords returned home Dec. 8 to face off with the Saskatoon Generals. The Generals were led to an 8-5 win by Kaije Derkachenko and Dawson Holt, both of whom had two goals and two assists in the game. The Barons' scorers were Hebert, Orborowsky, Shane Hounsell, Rett Taggert and Caleb Biensch.

The two teams played again Dec. 12 in Saskatoon. The Barons were shut out 9-0 by the Generals. Holt had two goals and two assists again in the win for Saskatoon. Erik Ehrmantraut also scored twice in the Generals' win. Reece Martin, Martial Hodgson, Dylan Marien, Jonah Bumphrey and Xavier Labelle found the back of the net for Saskatoon.

The Barons' next two games are on the road. The team travels to Humboldt to take on the Broncos Saturday. Battlefords plays Sunday against the North East Wolfpack. Their next home game is Jan. 10 against the Weyburn Wings. Puck drop is 6:15 p.m. at the Battleford Arena.
