The North Battleford Water Doves Synchronized Swimming Club sent several members to the Sadie Caulder Knight Provincial Stream Championship in Saskatoon and they made a splash in the pool.
In the recreational stream figures 8U division, Tara Parker earned a silver medal. Katelyn Payne was fourth in the same division. The Water Doves 8U team was first in the recreational stream team event
In the 10U division MacKenzie Gidych finished fourth. In the provincial stream figures 10U division Calista Thomas was ninth.
Courtney Roberts also finished ninth in the provincial stream figures 11-12 division and was first in the provincial stream solos 11-12 event. Emma Kowalski was 20th in the same division while Keifer Gidych was 24th.
In the 12U team event the Water Doves finished fourth.
In the 13-15 provincial stream figures event Jenna Parker was 16th and Jolie Bossaer was 23rd. Jenna and Jolie placed fifth in the provincial stream duets 13-15 division.
Breah Weber finished fourth in the 16-18 provincial stream division while club mate Kylie Burnett was sixth. The two swimmers teamed up for the 16-18 provincial stream duets event and were first in their class.
Victoria Machniak was first in the provincial stream figures Special Olympics category and first in the provincial stream solos event as well.
Many of the swimmers who competed at provincials will now focus on the Canadian Prairie Invitational Synchronized Swimming Championship in May.
