OUTLOOK - League champions were crowned in Outlook last week when the 11-Under Riverhawks wound up taking the East Final of the Fertile Valley Minor Baseball League.
The game, which was actually played between two Outlook rosters, took place on Thursday, June 19 at the diamonds behind the Jim Kook Rec Plex.
Getting to that game, however, meant that both teams had work ahead of them two days earlier on June 17, when the Outlook 1 team faced off against the Outlook 2 team, defeating them at a score of 9-7. Meanwhile, the Outlook 3 team played over in Rosetown on the same evening, defeating the hosting squad by a score of 5-1.
This meant that both Outlook teams would play back on their home diamond on June 19, and when all was said and done, it was the Outlook 1 squad that took the win and the league championship, defeating their local counterparts by a score of 6-2.
