Mnookin is a specialist in evidence, her scholarship includes rich historical and contemporary accounts of how the legal system has responded to and been transformed by novel forms of scientific evidence, including photography, fingerprint identification and DNA. In her writing and policy engagements, including on the National Â鶹´«Ã½AV of Science's Committee on Science, Technology and Law, she has been both critic and consensus-builder, especially regarding the inadequate validation of many forms of forensic science.
