Paul McEuen is a nanoscientist and author at Cornell University, where he directs the Kavli Institute at Cornell for Nanoscale Science. His research focuses on the structural, optical, mechanical and electronic properties of nanostructures such as carbon nanotubes, buckyballs, nanocrystals, and graphene. Current work includes the adaptation of paper arts such as origami and kirigami to two dimensional materials to create functional micro- and nanoscale machines and active matter.
