                    Visiting Scholar, Senior Fellow Emeritus, and former President at Resources for the Future. He has been active for over thirty years as both a leader and analyst of energy and environmental policy. Future chair of the American Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV of Arts and Sciences energy initiative, which considers the risks and benefits of emerging energy technologies. As the first Deputy Administrator of both the Environmental Protection Agency and the Energy Research and Development Administration, helped organize the federal government's programs in environmental regulation and energy technology. Also served as Director of the National Museum of Natural History, and is active with the National Academies, where he is National Associate, and recently chaired a National Academies panel on limiting future climate change.
