Albert St, McCarthy Blvd among Regina roads facing delays on Wednesday

Drivers in Regina should expect lane closures and delays Wednesday as road repairs and maintenance affect several major streets.

REGINA — Drivers in Regina will face traffic restrictions on several key routes Wednesday, July 2, as roadwork and maintenance projects get underway across the city.

Albert Street northbound, at Dewdney Avenue, will be restricted for two weeks starting at 7 a.m. as city crews carry out concrete work.

Elphinstone Street, between McKinley Avenue and 1st Avenue, will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. while water system repairs are completed.

McCarthy Boulevard, between 1st Avenue North and Mikkelson Drive, will see both directions restricted starting at 7 a.m. for two days to allow a private contractor to unload equipment.

Park Street northbound, from 6th Avenue to the train tracks, will also be restricted from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. for storm drain repairs.

The Ring Road ramp to Albert Street North will be restricted between 10:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. as crews install a new guardrail.

Transit users are encouraged to check with Regina Transit for route and stop changes.
