Celebrate Canada Day at Government House

Dancing performances will be among the activities featured at Government House to celebrate Canada Day.

REGINA — It is just a month until the Lieutenant-Governor’s Canada Day Celebration on July 1 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Government House, 4607 Dewdney Avenue in Regina.

“I am excited to welcome everyone to Government House on July 1 and to carry on this wonderful tradition,” said Lt.-Gov. Bernadette McIntyre. “I am looking forward to hosting this major event for the first time myself, and to celebrate our remarkable country with so many proud Canadians.”

Guests will enjoy an afternoon of entertainment including lively music and dance performances.

  • The Bromantics – a crowd-pleasing rock and roll and doo-wop band
  • Saskatchewan RCMP Pipes, Drums and Dancers
  • The Austrian Edelweiss Dance Group
  • Kung Fu Regina’s Lion Dancers

Also outdoors, several fan favourites of the past few years are coming back.

  • KAOS Dogsports
  • Princesses Elsa & Anna and the Amazing Spider-Man from Storybook Princess Parties
  • Saskatchewan Science Centre shows
  • HMCS Queen bouncy castle
  • Face painting

Government House will be open for touring with cultural exhibits, an art show, performances by classical guitarists, and the Government House Historical Society Vintage and Collectibles Sale.

The Canada Day celebration is free of charge and all are welcome. Complimentary popcorn, lemonade and water will be provided, and other food and beverages will be available for purchase. More event information available at .
