"Average gasoline prices across Canada saw a welcome dip over the last week, with nearly every province posting declines," said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy. "The drop was led in part by easing refinery issues in the U.S. Midwest and West Coast, which helped push down wholesale prices and brought relief at the pumps. In addition, new shipments of gasoline from Asia are arriving to offset recent supply challenges, particularly in British Columbia. While gasoline inventories remain somewhat tight heading into summer, I’m optimistic that increased refinery output could support continued price relief. However, as always, unexpected refinery issues could temporarily reverse the trend."
