EDMONTON, Alta. – A 27-year-old man already accused of killing a Regina man in 2022 is now facing a first-degree murder charge in connection with a 2020 Edmonton homicide.
On May 26, Edmonton Police Service (EPS) said Amiir Hussen had been arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of 25-year-old Mahada Bashir Farah, who was killed in downtown Edmonton on Dec. 8, 2020.
Hussen was previously arrested on Feb. 13 of this year and charged with second-degree murder in the death of 27-year-old Leslie Victor John Whitebear, who was killed on March 15, 2022, in Regina’s Davidson Crescent area.
While Hussen remains in custody for the Regina charge, EPS is now seeking his co-accused, 30-year-old Saed Osman, in connection with Farah’s 2020 murder. Osman is already listed on Canada’s Most Wanted for his alleged involvement in the deadly mass shooting outside Edmonton’s Ertale Lounge on March 12, 2022. Police say approximately 70 rounds were fired into a crowd at 124 Street and 118 Avenue, killing 28-year-old Imbet George and injuring seven others.
Anyone offering Osman assistance in evading arrest may be considered an accessory after the fact and face charges.
