REGINA — Several road closures are scheduled across Regina this weekend as crews carry out infrastructure work and events take place throughout the city.
Starting Friday, May 23 at 7 a.m., Dewdney Avenue will be closed between Cornwall Street and Scarth Street for two days. The closure supports preparations for new traffic signals as part of the Dewdney Avenue Corridor Revitalization Project.
On Saturday, May 24, three separate closures are planned. Thirteenth Avenue between Elphinstone Street and Albert Street will be closed from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. to accommodate a local event.
Scarth Street between 12th Avenue and Victoria Avenue will be closed from 7 a.m. to noon as a private contractor completes cleaning and inspections of the storm sewer main.
Regina Avenue from Sandra Schmirler Way to Lewvan Drive will close at 4 a.m. and remain closed for up to 26 hours to allow for bridge work.
On Sunday, May 25, Park Street between Macdonald Street and McLeod Street will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for storm drain repairs.
Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes and follow all posted signage during the closures.
