REGINA — The City of Regina is giving away free compost.

As part of Compost Awareness Week, residents can pick up free compost from May 8th to May 11th near the Yard Waste Depot on Fleet Street between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. while supplies last.

Residents are encouraged to bring pails and shovels to collect the compost. The city says the compost can be used for flower beds, gardens, and landscaping projects.

There are guidelines residents must follow, including a limit of three 5-gallon pails per household, having a tarp and secure loads when transporting the compost, and more.
