REGINA — Several road restrictions and closures are planned across Regina this weekend and into Monday, June 2, as the City continues with infrastructure improvements and accommodates a scheduled special event.
Saturday, May 31:
- Albert Street from 19th Avenue to McCallum Avenue will be closed from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a special event.
- 4th Avenue eastbound between Albert Street and Scarth Street will be closed from 6:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for roadwork.
- 6th Avenue North between Broad Street and Winnipeg Street will be restricted in both directions from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. for work by a private contractor.
- Dalgliesh Drive between Battel Street and Vanier Drive will also be restricted both ways between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. for contractor work.
Sunday, June 1:
- McDonald Street between Ross Avenue and 4th Avenue will be restricted in both directions from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Monday, June 2:
- 12th Avenue from Toronto Street to Ottawa Street will be restricted both ways starting at 8 a.m. for two days.
- 23rd Avenue from Hillsdale Street to Wascana Parkway will be restricted from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
- Broad Street from 3rd to 4th Avenue North will be under similar restrictions during the same hours.
- A long-term restriction begins on Broad Street between College Avenue and Broadway Avenue starting at 6 a.m. for median work, lasting three months.
- College Avenue from Rae Street to Montague Street will be closed for two months starting at 7 a.m. as crews replace sidewalks and catch basins.
- Edinburgh Drive from Westminster Road to Glamis Place will have both-way restrictions from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Prince of Wales Drive northbound from Wascana Gate North to Arens Road will face up to eight weeks of restrictions starting at 8 a.m. for pathway work.
- Ring Road southbound from Winnipeg Street to McDonald Street will have a speed restriction for four weeks starting at 7 a.m.
- Winnipeg Street northbound between 2nd and 5th Avenue North will be restricted between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m.
- Winnipeg Street from 14th Avenue to College Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for survey work.
Transit riders are advised to check with Regina Transit for route or stop changes. The City thanks residents for their patience and reminds drivers to slow down in construction zones.
