Employee allegedly threatened with knife in incident

At around 5 p.m. on May 1, police were called to the 600 block of 9th Street East for a report of a woman attempting to gain access to an apartment building.

SASKATOON - A woman has been arrested following reports of threats and a robbery yesterday afternoon.

At around 5 p.m. on May 1, police were called to the 600 block of 9th Street East for a report of a woman attempting to gain access to an apartment building.

When confronted by an occupant, the woman brandished a knife and fled the area.

A short time later, police were called to a business in the 400 block of 21st Street East for a report of a woman matching the same suspect description stealing multiple items and threatening the employee with a knife.

Police located the suspect nearby in possession of what were believed to be the stolen items; she was arrested without incident.

As a result, a 31-year-old woman was charged with uttering threats to cause bodily harm, possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace, unauthorized carry of a concealed weapon, and robbery.
