SASKATOON — A last month is nearing 90 per cent of its $15,000 goal, which would help his family with funeral costs. As of publication time, $13,265 had been raised.

Emanuelle Moraga, known as Emmy to his family and friends, died of multiple gunshot wounds. The 33-year-old’s body was found inside a vehicle on April 28. A celebration of Moraga’s life is scheduled for May 10 at 1 p.m. at the Saskatoon Funeral Home.

Loreto Cortes started the GoFundMe page, with one anonymous donor contributing $2,500.

Moraga was known for his smile, sense of humour and enjoyment of a good laugh, according to the message on the GoFundMe page.

“Emmy lived life to the fullest and made sure to enjoy all those things with those he loved most. A huge loss has been felt across the Latin community. We hope the family can find some peace in the midst of such a tragedy and loss. Emmanuel was one of a kind and will be truly missed by so many. We love you, Emmy, until we meet again,” the campaign said.
