SASKATOON - Five people are facing more than 50 charges after police responded to a weapons call and located a loaded firearm early this morning.
At approximately 12:45 a.m., June 2, police responded to a restaurant in the 100 block of Circle Drive West after it was reported a man was observed with what was believed to be a firearm.
Upon arrival, police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle the suspect was seen entering, and observed a handgun inside; five people were taken into custody. Further investigation determined the firearm was loaded at the time it was seized.
Four men, ages 19, 23, 27, and 31, and a 25-year-old woman, are facing a total of 57 charges.
