SASKATOON - Saskatoon police were kept busy responding to several stabbings over the weekend.
At approximately 5 a.m., May 30, a male reported having been stabbed a few hours earlier in the area of 22nd Street West and Avenue W North.
In a separate incident, shortly before 3:30 a.m., May 31, patrol officers responded to a back alley near 4th Avenue and 25th Street and located a 23-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds.
At approximately 1:30 a.m., June 1, police located a 26-year-old man who reported having been stabbed in the 100 block of Avenue T Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV.
Then, at approximately 1:15 p.m., June 1, police responded to a hotel in the 100 block of Circle Drive West after an 18-year-old man was reportedly stabbed.
The suspects in the above incidents fled prior to police arrival.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m., June 1, a member of the Bike Unit was on patrol in the area of 2nd Avenue and 20th Street when they were waved down by a 29-year-old woman. The 29-year-old woman was the victim of a stabbing that resulted in the arrest of a 63-year-old woman. A 63-year-old woman was arrested a few blocks away and has been charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, obstruction, and breach of court-imposed conditions.
The victims in all of the incidents were transported to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
