SASKATOON—Firefighters at the Saskatoon Fire Department Station 1 were quick to respond to a structure fire in the 200 block of Avenue D Â鶹´«Ã½AV. The incident was reported at 7:50 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, and Fire Station 1 is about five minutes away.
The first arriving crews observed smoke visible from a detached garage, and the incident commander instructed them to deploy hose lines to perform an interior attack. The fire was completely extinguished, and it was determined there were no occupants in the garage.
The scene was later turned over to a fire investigator, who is examining it to identify the cause, origin, and estimate the extent and cost of the damage.
