Suspect facing charges after allegedly attempting to enter suite with gun

SASKATOON - One man was arrested and charged after an armed, break-and-enter incident on Saturday.

At around 7:30 p.m., May 24, patrol officers responded to a hotel in the 1300 block of 8th Street East for a weapons call. Saskatoon Police Service (SPS) was told that a man was attempting to forcefully enter a suite while holding a gun. When his efforts were unsuccessful, the suspect fled. Patrol officers located the suspect in the 600 block of Victoria Avenue Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV where he was taken into custody. The firearm in question was also located and seized by police.

A 32-year-old Saskatoon man is facing two firearms-related offences as well as a charge for attempting to break and enter to commit a crime.
