Warman RCMP responded to a reported stabbing Friday night at a business on Centennial Drive North in Martensville.

MARTENSVILLE — Two suspects have been arrested after a violent altercation at a Martensville business left two people injured, including one with stab wounds.

Warman RCMP responded to the 200 block of Centennial Drive North at approximately 9:55 p.m. on June 13 following a report of an assault with a weapon.

When officers arrived, they found an adult male with injuries consistent with stab wounds. First aid was provided at the scene before the victim was taken to hospital by EMS with injuries described as serious but not life-threatening.

A second victim, a male youth, had also been physically assaulted and was already in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

RCMP say the incident involved a physical altercation between the two victims and two suspects — an adult male and a male youth — and was not random in nature.

The youth suspect, who was also injured in the fight, was arrested by police at the hospital. The adult suspect was later taken into custody at a residence in Martensville.

A third male youth was arrested at a gathering in connection with the incident but was released without charges.

Police continue to investigate and ask anyone with information to contact Warman RCMP at 310-RCMP or submit tips anonymously through Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
