OXBOW — An Oxbow man has additional charges before the court after his June 25 arrest.

According to a news release from the Saskatchewan RCMP, members of the Carnduff RCMP conducted a check of a man’s court-ordered release conditions at a residence in Oxbow.

As a result of investigation, officers carried out a search of the home, as permitted with his release.

The RCMP said officers located and seized approximately 26 grams of methamphetamine, 22 pharmaceutical-style pills, about 10 grams of a white powder sent for further testing, and trafficking paraphernalia.

Timothy Irwin, age 61, was arrested at the residence and is charged with two counts of failing to comply with release-order condition under the Criminal Code, and one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

The Estevan RCMP and Estevan Police Service assisted with this investigation.

Irwin has several other charges before the court, including one for possession for the purpose of trafficking; another for unauthorized possession of prohibited or restricted firearms, weapons, or device; and two for violating his release conditions.

Irwin was remanded into custody after his arrested. He was in Estevan Provincial Court June 30. The Crown is opposed to his release and is applying to revoke his previous release orders. His next scheduled court appearance is July 17 in Weyburn.
