Weyburn鈥檚 Tenille Arts achieved one of the long-time goals of her career, by appearing on the historic stage of the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday evening in Nashville, Tenn.
鈥淚 really don鈥檛 think I鈥檓 ever going to get over the pure magic of Saturday night. My Opry debut was everything I could have dreamed of and more,鈥� she said after her experience.
Her entire family and an aunt were there in the audience to witness this moment as she sang two songs. She sangher new song, 鈥淪omebody Like That鈥�, with the full Opry band, then the band left the stage, and she picked up her acoustic guitar sang her current single 鈥淐all You Names.鈥�
The second song was about her relationship with her mother, Glenda, who appeared with her in the music video she made for it.
鈥淭hank you to my family, my friends, my team, and my fans, who all made me feel so loved and supported, whether you were backstage, on the sidelines, or cheering me on from afar,鈥� she said in an Instagram message. 鈥淚 truly think I鈥檓 the luckiest person in the world.鈥�
Tenille will make a Nashville appearance Wednesday night performing at noon on the main floor of Jason Aldean鈥檚 Kitchen + Rooftop Bar, and on Thursday, she heads to Tinley Park, Illinois, near Chicago, for the Big 95.5 & Miller Lite Nashville Nights concert at 7:30 p.m. at JW Hollstein鈥檚.
Born and raised in Weyburn, Tenille picked up the guitar and penned her first song at age 13 and has been performing across the U.S. and Canada ever since.
She made her first appearance on聽The Bachelor聽in January 2018 singing her original song 鈥淢oment of Weakness.鈥� The performance resulted in a record deal with powerhouse indie label Reviver Records. She made her second appearance on the show in January of this year performing 鈥淚 Hate This.鈥� The song hit #1 on both the U.S. and Canadian iTunes Country Charts and #9 U.S. iTunes all-genre following the episode.Tenille has released an EP and a full-length album, and her music has tallied over 25 million streams.
