It was billed as a night to Rock in the New Decade at the Orpheum Theatre, and it certainly lived up to its name.
A raucous crowd attended a concert by Canadian rock band Toque in the main theatre Tuesday night. They sang along with the music from the band, which includes Cory Churko (guitar), Todd Kerns (vocals and guitar), Shane Gaalass (drums) and Brent Fitz (bass).
Kerns is a former Estevan resident.
Toque helped the crowd count down to the start of a new year, and a new decade.
Stand-up comedian He Fangzhou opened the evening.
Next week’s edition of the Mercury will have more on this story.Â
