COVID-19 Immunization update effective May 6: Eligibility for immunizations moves to age 35

Effective,Ìý8:00 a.m., May 6, 2021,Ìýeligibility in the provincial age-based immunization program moves to 35 years of age and older,Ìýexcept for residents living in the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District, where it remains at age 18 and older.ÌýThis applies to all immunization clinics: booked appointments, pharmacies, drive-thru/walk-in, and mobile.

Reminder to residents that clinic availability is based on vaccine availability, and demand for appointments outweighs the current vaccine supply.Ìý

Residents areÌýencouraged to consider immunization at their local pharmacy, or at a drive-thru or walk-in clinic.

Age Eligibility

Eligibility criteria moves to ageÌý35 and olderÌýeffective May 6, 2021.ÌýIt remainsÌý18 and older in the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District.

Eligible groups include:Ìý

-ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýall individuals 35 years of age and older,Ìý

-ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýindividuals 18 years of age and older living in theÌý,Ìý

-ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýall remaining phase one health care workers,Ìý

-ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýadditional front-line workers and First Responders asÌý, and

-ÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýÌýpeople with underlying health conditionsÌýÌýthrough an eligibility letter.

Those over the age of 35 years are able toÌýÌý24/7 atÌý.Ìý

For those under the current age eligibility, or needing additional support, booking is also available by phone atÌý1-833-SASKVAX (1-833-727-5829).ÌýÌýThe call centre is open 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., 7 days per week.
