Thick hoar frost weighs down the branches of a weeping willow tree, and contrasts brilliantly with the deep blue of the winter sky, in this scene captured on Dec. 20 in Beaubier by reader Sharon Solie on her iPhone. The hoar frost was compounded by several days' worth of ice fog along with a dusting of fresh snow on top of it to bring out the beauty of winter's touch.
