鈥淚t continues to be my great honour to represent the amazing people of Weyburn and help lead the city on a path of progress,鈥 said Roy.

鈥淚 give thanks and credit to our incredible community leaders, fellow councillors and hardworking city employees and contractors who鈥檝e worked so hard to accomplish so much in four years. From lights, roads and sidewalks to city policies, business development and essential infrastructure, we鈥檝e seen more improvements to our city than ever before. But there is still more work to be done and I am seeking re-election to ensure this work continues.鈥

He noted the current pandemic has created many challenges for residents and businesses, and said, 鈥淲e as a community and city have all had to adapt and remain diligent as we look to the future. It鈥檚 vital we continue forward while remaining fiscally conservative, avoiding needless spending, so that we can exit these unprecedented times on top and stronger than ever.鈥

He urged residents to get out and vote in this election, as he stated, 鈥淢unicipal governments have the greatest and most direct impact on your everyday quality of city life. That is why it鈥檚 important to encourage friends and family to vote early or in person on Nov. 9.鈥
