One of the main topics of concern at the RM of Keys Council meeting on May 10 was the Crystal Lake Hutterian Brethren鈥檚 proposed colony development.

The Canora Veselka Ukrainian Dance Club performed well in two competitions in recent weeks, said Amanda Zbitniff, president. The Kalyna Dance Festival was held in Yorkton from May 3 to 6.

Effective May 1, Canora town council entered into an agreement with the Commissionaires, based out of Yorkton, to provide bylaw officer services within the town of Canora.

I would like to take this opportunity to address some of the incorrect information in Mr. Gervais鈥� letter to the editor. Your letter stated this council has held 鈥渟ecret meetings鈥� for three years. I have been Reeve for 15 months.

Approximately 150 RM of Keys residents attended an informational meeting regarding the Crystal Lake Hutterian Brethren鈥檚 proposed colony development on May 4 at Rainbow Hall in Canora.

Val Morhart of Canora has enjoyed art work for most of his life, and achieved a long-time dream recently with a one-man art show at the Yorkton Public Library. The show ran from March 2 to April 29, and Morhart said sales exceeded all expectations.

The Canora Veselka Ukrainian Dance Club held its 44 th annual concert on April 29 at the Canora Composite School in front of a full house in the school gym. Amanda Zbitniff, club president, said all 86 dancers performed exceptionally well.

This letter is in reference to the ratepayers meeting held by the RM of Keys on April 16.

The Canora Golf and Country Club held its annual meeting on April 18 at the golf course clubhouse. Donna Rock, clubhouse manager, said the club is coming off a good 2017 season and is looking to build on that in new memberships and in general play.
