Some people still believe that market forces actually work in agriculture and food.

The past few weeks of Olympic coverage had me glued to the TV, but also had me reflecting on the state of fitness in Canada (and my own household). There鈥檚 something about the winter Olympics that speaks to my soul more than the summer games.

Hunting, fishing and photography enthusiasts were brought together at the annual awards banquet of the Canora branch of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation (SWF) on February 24 at Rainbow Hall in Canora.

Approximately $4,000 was collected by Sturgis Kinsmen and members of the Sturgis Composite High School SRC (Student Representative Council) during their 25 th Mini Miracle Marathon on March 1.

Students and staff at Canora Composite School showed their support for the prevention of bullying by taking part in Red Cross Pink Day at Canora Composite School on February 28. Pink shirts, and even the odd pink hat, were seen all over the school.

Morgan Klimchuk of the Calgary Flames, grandson of Jerry and Joanne Klimchuk of Canora, played his first NHL game on February 19 in Calgary against the Boston Bruins.

The Trakkers Snowclub 30 th Anniversary Public and Family Derby was held on February 18 in Canora, with 60 registered riders taking part.
