The Canora Ladies’ Golf Club held its annual golf tournament on August 12, said club representative Maxine Stinka. Twenty-one women attended and enjoyed a beautiful sunny day with no wind as they golfed 18 holes of stroke play.

A pavement rehabilitation program and restricting the heights of buildings in residential areas were among the items of concern to town council at its regular meeting on August 1.

It was a hot scorcher of a day as disc golfers took to the Links Under the Spruce course at Good Spirit Provincial Park on July 30, said a release from the Parkland Association of Disc Golf.

Over the weekend of July 14-16, the Canora mosquito baseball team travelled to Tisdale to participate in the Mosquito Provincial Playoffs, said Jennifer Sleeva, coach.
