Two farmers from Norquay received an award for reaching the highest gross dollar per acre in 2016.

Cindy Erhardt has been appointed to the Kamsack Housing Authority board of directors, said a release from Social Services. Other members of the board of directors are Darlene Brown, Marilyn Lachambre and Charles Thomas. Thomas is chairperson.

A total of 877 birds representing 22 species and 160 mammals representing eight species were counted by 13 volunteers in the Togo area on January 5 in the annual winter bird and mammal count.

After experiencing life on the ocean on board a sailboat, a former Kamsack air cadet who is now a major in the Air Force has written a book highlighting his adventures on the water off the coast of Eastern Canada.

鈥淟ooking back over the past year, the Town has had many successes and steady progress has been made on our strategic priorities,鈥� said Kamsack Mayor Nancy Brunt.

A special ceremony was held last month to mark the change of command for the Kamsack air cadet squadron. At the cadets鈥� regular parade on December 15, the ceremony was held to officially enstate 2 nd Lieut.
