The weather, gorgeous all week probably didn’t hurt, but Yorktonites showed their heart by coming out in droves Thursday in support of Fort McMurray evacuees. A barbecue held at City Centre Park garnered $5,500 in donations for the Red Cross. Yorkton Plumbing & Heating, Farrell Agencies, Fox FM, NL Construction, RH Electric and Smoker Brokers provided the pulled pork and volunteers.
