COVID-19 Immunization Update: Age moves down to 32-plus

Effective,8 a.m., Monday, May 10, 2021, eligibility in the provincial age-based immunization program moves to 29 years of age and older.

For residents living in the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District eligibility remains at age 18 and older. These changes apply to all immunization clinics: booked appointments, pharmacies, drive-thru/walk-in, and mobile.

Reminder to residents that clinic availability is based on vaccine availability, and demand for appointments outweighs the current vaccine supply.

Residents are encouraged to consider immunization at their local pharmacy, a drive-thru or walk-in clinic.

Age Eligibility

Note that clinics are administering first doses only at this time. Second doses will become available beginning May 17 according to the age-based and priority sequencing by which first doses were administered. Visit for more information.

Eligibility criteria changes: Ìý
Saturday, May 8, to 32 years of age and older.

Monday, May 10, to 29 years of age and older.
It remains18 and older in the Northern Saskatchewan Administration District.

Eligible groups include:

  • all individuals 32 years of age and older, on Saturday and Sunday, May 8 and 9,
  • all individuals 29 years of age and older, beginning May 10,
  • individuals 18 years of age and older living in the ,
  • all remaining phase one health-care workers,
  • additional front-line workers and First Responders as , and
  • people with underlying health conditions through an eligibility letter.

Those over the current eligible age are able to 24/7 at .
For those health-care, front-line and First Responders under the current age eligibility, or anyone needing additional support, booking is also available by phone at 1-833-SASKVAX (1-833-727-5829). The call centre is open 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., 7 days per week.

Drive-Thru & Walk-In Immunization Clinics

These clinics are available to anyone 32 years of age and older on May 8 & 9, 29 years and older on May 10, or anyone with valid eligibility letters or other proof of employment required for prioritized frontline workers.

However, if you have a booked appointment and choose to attend a drive-thru or walk-in clinic, please ensure you to allow others eligible to take your place.

Please ensure you check the most up-to-date information at before attending any drive-thru/walk-in clinic. Vaccine supply remains limited so as a result drive-thru/walk-in clinics may close early, depending on demand.
