Good Friday Walks are being planned by minesterial associations in Moosomin and Rocanville on Friday, April 2nd.

In Moosomin, the walk will begin at St Andrew鈥檚 Presbyterian Church at Main Street and Windover Avenue at 9:00 am on Friday, April 2nd.
听
The route will pass by different churches in the area where attendees will be given an opportunity to listen to teachings and take part in prayers before continuing to the next stop.
听
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, there will be no food or drink provided to attendees.
听
Organizer for the Rocanville Walk, Tannis MacFarlane-Kelly, says that the local ministerial association brings together all religious groups in the community.
听
鈥淭he ministerial puts on things for all faiths, so that way we鈥檙e not all individual. We鈥檙e a body altogether but we just happen to have different traditions from each group,鈥 said MacFarlane-Kelly.

She says that their walk on Friday will make a trip around town to visit the different churches.
听
鈥淭he Walk for Jesus is one of those things that is Moosomin and Rocanville-wide. All churches are able to do that.
听
鈥淪o our Good Friday Walk will be starting at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Rocanville at 9 a.m. and we have a big heavy cross that we carry through the streets of Rocanville from church to church.听

鈥淎s we go we鈥檒l be singing, and of course, we鈥檒l be social distancing and we鈥檒l have masks then at each church we鈥檒l have a Bible reading.鈥
听
They will be making five stops during the walk before ending at Hope Congregational Church, where an Anglican service will be held. MacFarlane-Kelly says the group hopes to arrive at the final church by 9:45 am.
听
No registration is required for either event, however attendees are asked to follow COVID-19 guidelines, which include social distancing and mandatory face coverings.
