The idea of taking children from their families, isolating them from those families, their communities and their culture in a clearly racist attempt to eliminate the First Nations culture was and is reprehensible.

Images taken in time can stand the test of it.

It shouldn't just be babies making our eyes light up.

It鈥檚 not always an easy journey, but if we look to the past for lessons, and we are willing to work together it can be achieved.

I don't believe in the practice simply because it's become far too toxic to even approach.
