So last week, the Outlook High School Class of 2018 held their graduation ceremonies. Another 鈥渂unch o鈥� Blues鈥� have left the hallways and now they have the rest of their lives in front of them. I remember my high school grad back in 2004.

It is fair time in Yorkton, and that is an annual event that always brings back a flood of memories from my youth. In my youth, a time now more than three decades in the past, I spent large chunks of my summer at fairs.

Recently I was on one of the more notable social media sites and there was a post that was drawing a lot of attention, most of it citing disgust. The post was about baking bread containing flour made from ground cockroaches.

Canada had better get its act together, immediately, on export pipelines. I don鈥檛 just mean the Trans Mountain Pipeline, now owned by you and me and all other Canadians. I mean we need to revive Northern Gateway and Energy East right now.

One of the advantages of small town Saskatchewan is that most places have their community events.

My honorary granddaughter, the first Canadian in her family, didn鈥檛 thank me for the gift of a tiny Canadian flag and lapel pin. She didn鈥檛 even look at me. In fact, she slept through the entire visit. I understood.

I guess I鈥檓 the latest snowflake of society to be offended by certain spoken terms. I鈥檓 going to outline two of them this week.
