I understand the point of a national anthem. We need a song to make our athletes cry as they receive their gold medals at the Olympics.

Sometimes I go to cover a certain event and I have no idea how it鈥檚 going to turn out or what kind of story is going to come out of it. That鈥檚 probably the biggest level of mystery that comes with my job of being a small town reporter.

It took me a while to get into this audiobook, Eric Schlosser鈥檚 Command and Control: Nuclear Weapons, the Damascus Accident, and the Illusion of Safety , but eventually it got hold of me.

In a world where continued urbanization is the norm, and urban sprawl encroaches on natural habitats on an all too regular basis, it is important society work at maintaining wild areas wherever possible.

Swearing as a linguistic choice is not my cup of tea. I have never been one to just drop the f-bomb without any provocation to do so or to use such expressions such as 鈥淕od d***鈥� (see, I can鈥檛 even print it).
