The war film that every other war film tries to imitate.

A few weeks ago, when walking to take a picture at a barbecue in the city, a man I know spotted me and my camera set to photograph someone flipping a few burgers. 鈥淎ren鈥檛 you sick of barbecues?鈥� he asked. I can see his point.

The landscape of Saskatchewan may be about to fundamentally change as the current government moves ever closer to chipping away at the publically-owned Crown Corporations.

There are no words that I could find that would even come close to describing what I imagine the pain is that comes with having to bury your child. This past week was a tragic and unforgiving one in the Outlook area.

By almost three, her siblings had vocabularies like small dictionaries. But our fifth grandbean Lois spoke only a few words. Mama. Nana. Up. Buh buh, (Bye, bye). And 鈥淪HUSH!鈥� She used that one often, especially on loudmouthed Ernie, our parrot.

I don鈥檛 usually spend two straight weeks on the same topic, but the Omar Khadr matter remains in the limelight as I continue to be amazed at the number of people I have encountered who are okay with Canada supporting terrorism and harboring a terrori
