Ever since I can remember, bullying has always been a part of my life. If it wasn’t me called anorexic everyday in elementary school, it was me being known as super-nerd in my teens.

Know thyself. It is an aphorism as old as philosophy itself and has taken on many nuanced meanings over the years. On the face of it, nothing, really, should be easier. After all, we are with our self all the time.

Welcome to Week CCXI of ‘Fishing Parkland Shorelines’. Like most of us I am a novice fisherman, loving to fish, but far from an expert.

We will head back to the polls this fall, this time to determine who will be Yorkton’s Mayor and Council for the ensuing four years. The actual vote is not until Oct. 26, but it is not too early to start thinking about the election.
