At a time of year when each and every victory begins to seem even more important then they did back in September and October, the Yorkton Harvest played their only scheduled date last Thursday, having no scheduled games this past weekend.

The Yorkton Terriers are scheduled for two road games this week, one tonight against the Battlefords and one last night scheduled for Kindersley. Yorkton returns home Saturday (Jan. 29) for a rematch from last weekend's game against Notre Dame.

The Terriers have stayed a top the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League's Sherwood Conference after a split in two games this week. The split leaves the Terriers with a record of 27-14-2-4 for 60 points. Kindersley are four points back, with 56.

Gold medal
Sacred Heart student Preston Liebrecht attended the Golden Barrell track meet in Edmonton over the weekend. He came home from the meet with a gold medal in high jump competition. He also beat his PB (personal best) with a jump of 1.

A win is a win, Terriers and Harvest showed it last week
A win is a win. It doesn't matter who it comes against, where it comes, or how wide a margin of victory it is. Nobody seems to care who they beat anymore, as long as the end result of it is two points in the win column.
