Cut Knife Report- June 9 - 15
Cut Knife RCMP received 96 calls for service between June 9 to 15. These files included well-being check, reports of traffic offences, mischief, assault, breach of peace, failure to comply with orders, Mental Health Acts, suspicious person, Liquor Act and assisting other agencies and 911 Act.

On June 9, Chief Little Pine School reported an incident of vandalism involving graffiti. It was determined that individuals had gained unauthorized access to one of the school’s portable classrooms after hours, where they took art supplies. These materials were then used to create artwork on the school walls and surrounding areas. While the suspects think they were creative, this will not count toward extra credit. The investigation remains ongoing.
On June 12, in the Rural Municipality of Manitou Lake, officers responded to a report of theft involving Milwaukee tools that had been stolen from a van. The vehicle’s locks had been cut and several tools were taken from inside. The suspect vehicle is described as a white Ford Super Duty Dually truck bearing Alberta license plates. This matter remains under active investigation.
On June 15, officers responded to a report of a stolen Jeep Trail Hawk, license plate 128NTF. The complainant had offered a ride to three individuals. When the complainant stopped to visit a friend, the three passengers took the opportunity to leave with the vehicle. Arrest warrants have been issued. Johnathan Semaganis (32) and Lacey Frank (35) remain wanted in connection with this incident.
Nineteen traffic stops were made, resulting in speeding tickets, warnings, roadside suspensions, traffic collisions and impairments.

June 16-22
Cut Knife RCMP received 85 calls for services between June 16 to 22. These files included well-being check, reports of traffic offences, mischief, assault, aggravated assault, The Coroners Act, break and enter, breach of peace, failure to comply with orders, Mental Health Act, suspicious person, abandoned vehicle, animal call, Liquor Act and assisting other agencies, 911 Act and Firearms Act.

On June 16, officers responded to a call involving a 29-year-old male who had allegedly threatened to stab his girlfriend and physically assaulted her by choking her. The individual was located and arrested on an outstanding warrant. He was held in custody pending a court appearance.
On June 17, officers responded to a report of an unknown male found in a ditch near the town of Cut Knife with multiple severe injuries. The individual was initially transported to Battlefords Union Hospital (BUH) and later airlifted to Royal University Hospital (RUH) in Saskatoon via STARS Air Ambulance. The victim has since been identified. This file remains under active investigation.
On June 21, officers responded to a report of a break and enter on Little Pine First Nation involving a 38-year-old female. The individual was located, taken into custody and lodged. Upon becoming sober, she was released with conditions. Shortly after her release, she was found to be in breach of those conditions. She was subsequently re-arrested and held for court.
On June 22, members responded to a report of a break and enter at a farm shop located in the Rural Municipality of Manitou Lake. Preliminary investigation indicates that two male suspects arrived at the property in a vehicle towing a trailer. The suspects gained entry to the shop and stole a Kubota lawn mower along with various tools. This investigation remains ongoing.
Sixteen traffic stops were made, resulting in speeding tickets, warnings, roadside suspensions, traffic collisions and impairments. Members responded to three alarms and six Mental Health Act calls.
Unity Report – June 17 - 23
RCMP received a complaint of harassing communications. This matter is still under investigation.
Members acted as mediators in a family dispute.
Police conducted a well-being check at the request of a family member.
Members received requests to keep the peace while individuals retrieved personal property from a residence in two separate incidents this week.
RCMP received a report of a dog in a vehicle. Members attended to check the animal’s well-being. No further police action required.
Police received a complaint of criminal harassment, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Members attended a rail car fire in a rural area near Winter. The Unity Fire Department extinguished the fire. This matter is still under investigation.
RCMP received a request to attend a residence with Child and Family Services.
Police received a report of a missing person. The individual was located.
Members are investigating a complaint of sexual assault.
RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a complaint of disturbing the peace, but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Members received a request to assist Emergency Medical Services with a patient. The subject of complaint was transported by STARS Air Ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
RCMP received a complaint of an individual in possession of stolen property. The subject of the complaint returned the property. The complainant requested no further action be taken.
CN Police reported a railway crossing malfunction in Unity. Reported for information purposes.
Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint.
There were also two false 911 calls.
Wilkie Report
RCMP received a complaint of an individual not complying with a court order, but it was unfounded.
Members conducted a well-being check at the request of a family member.
Police received a complaint of a dog biting an individual. Two bylaw tickets were issued to the animal owner.
RCMP attended a single-vehicle collision on Highway 14 near Wilkie. The vehicle driver was transported by Emergency Medical Services to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Members spoke to an individual regarding municipal bylaws.
There was also one traffic complaint.
Macklin Report
RCMP received a complaint of a break and enter at a residence in Primate, but it was unfounded.
Police received a report of a suspicious individual walking near a residence. Members attended, but the subject of complaint was gone on arrival.
Members received a complaint of assault, but it was unfounded.
RCMP received a report of fraud. This matter is still under investigation.
There was also one false alarm.
